Dewy or matte? Choosing your bridal finish

Both are beautiful — the right one depends on your skin, your venue and how your photos will be shot.

What the finishes are

Dewy skin glows and reflects light — fresh, modern and flattering in soft or natural light. Matte is velvety and shine-free — elegant, timeless and photography-friendly under strong lighting.

Modern bridal makeup often mixes both: a soft glow where light hits, powdered where it doesn't.

Which suits you

Oily or combination skin usually wears matte or satin finishes better over a long day. Dry skin loves dewy, but needs good hydration first so it glows rather than flakes.

Your venue matters too: a candlelit, natural-light setting loves dewy; a flash-heavy evening do can benefit from a more matte base.

The safe answer

A luminous, skin-like finish that our signature work is known for sits between the two — fresh in person, clean on camera, and long-wearing.

At your trial we'll test finishes in a few light settings so you choose with confidence, not guesswork.
